DON’T FALL FOR LOCAL 741’S LAUNDRY LIST OF DIRTY PROMISES!
Local 741’s “proposal” about how they will bargain a new contract that would increases wages and improve our benefits shows us that Local 741 will do anything to keep taking our union dues.
We know that Local 741 has accepted lower annual raises and unsafe working conditions for the past 10 years. How can we trust an entity with no effective healthcare worker experience and with past mob connections to keep our jobs secure?
1199 EMS members have won higher pay for our profession
At Citywide, Local 741 agreed to members hired after 2020 to get only 2.5% annual raises for the last three years. 1199 EMS workers are getting 7%, 6% and 5% raises over the course of three years no matter when they were hired. Citywide 741 members did not come close to those percentages regardless of hire date.
Check out the full list of facilities across NYC where EMS workers won 7%, 6% and 5% annual raises between 2023 and 2025!

DON’T BELIEVE 741’S LIES: 1199 AMR WORKERS ARE STANDING UNION STRONG
In the midst of contract negotiations, AMR announced they will be closing their Mount Vernon location at the end of the year because of dwindling call volume and a decreased demand for mutual aid services. Let’s be clear: the Mount Vernon garage closing is a result of AMR’s mismanagement and not the 1199 AMR members working tirelessly to improve their wages and working conditions. Local 741 tries to spread lies about 1199 AMR members because they’re considered in bed with management and don’t want us to win our union. Don’t believe Local 741’s lies attacking our fellow first responders on behalf of management.
Swipe to hear directly from AMR workers as they stand united in 1199!
EMS PAC TO CITYWIDE WORKERS: JOIN OUR MOVEMENT! UNITY = STRENGTH.
When first responders from across NYC stand together in NY’s largest and strongest healthcare union, we will improve our jobs for ourselves and our patients. The EMS PAC has our back!
Former Citywide Local 741 shop steward says, “Elect 1199, Dump 741!”
Jeff Bailey is a former employee of Citywide. He is a current member of the EMS PAC.
Walter Adler, Paramedic, NYU, EMS PAC Leader, 1199 Member
“Bronxcare paramedics work some of the busiest neighborhoods and highest acuity calls in NYC. They deserve a strong union and workplace protections that come with one. A vote for 1199 is a vote for a safer and more just situation at Citywide Mobile Response.”
